This is definitely one of the best suprises in the dark ambient scene I've heard in ages. When I'm absolutely not familiar with the different projects from the tracklist, nearly each of them reveals a real huge potential. I would be not surprised to see several of these bands getting signed to major labels from the dark ambient scene. "Subconscious Primitiv Musick" is an international compilation featuring bands from all over the world. The most surprising element is definitely to find back bands from countries like Egypt and Koweit. Luna Dopa (project of Gabriel Luis B and founder of Neuek Kultur) opens with a haunting and obscure piece of ambient. It's a remarkable warm up to put the listener directly in the morbid mood of this release. Extern Ycon coming next brings cold cellar noise sensations while Spit It Out launches a fascinating piece full of echoing drones and enigmatic ambient passages. 1997EV from Italy brings the absolute jewel from this sampler. "Hole Vortex Jires And Fire In Chains" is a mix of tribal rhythmic elements mixed with cold soundscapes and deadly cold spoken words. Next comes India Von Halkein with another mystic piece revealing excellent stereo effects. A last project to keep in mind is the Belgian Tzii. Here again we get some spooky spoken words on top of a freaky ambient composition with drones in the background. Just trust me and purchase this album immediately! An absolute must have!
