*5th ANNUAL DECIBEL FESTIVAL DATES ANNOUNCED: SEPT 25 – 28, 2008*
The fifth annual Decibel Festival will again submerse Seattle in the broad
spectrum of
electronic music and its surrounding cultural elements. Since its inception
in 2003, Decibel has booked over 400 acts, culminating in the biggest
edition yet this fall. Following the success and critical acclaim of
previous editions, the festival will once again assemble a diverse selection
of international talent designed to stimulate its audience on multiple
levels. The lineup will feature artists at the forefront of electronic music
production, alongside exciting visual art performances and installations.
With this landmark anniversary, Decibel will feature surprises and return

*CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS* Seattle's Decibel Festival returns in
2008 with an edition that will be more extensive and stimulating than ever.
We are currently seeking film, video and animated works to present during
OPTICAL 2008. Our theme this year is sustainability in the arts. We
encourage artists worldwide to submit their works for consideration. OPTICAL
covers multimedia performances, short films, animation, and other
cutting-edge visual work by some of today's most provocative artists. Past
highlights include audio/video performances by Ryoichi Kurokawa, Speedy J
