Action 5.1 – Meetings of young people and those responsible for youth policy
Title:
WEB RADIO AND YOUTH PARTICIPATION: A NEW SPACE TOWARDS AN ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP
Overall objectives:
1. Support the cooperation in the field of youth policies in Europe opening spaces for dialogue and debate among youth and policy makers
2. Promoting youth protagonism at a national level in the framework of an open exchange of views about the sectorial policies
Project purpose:
Build up a COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE promoting the knowledge and the exchange of esperiences and methodologies related to youth participation and active citizenship by the means of the web-radio tool
Expected result:
Design,planning and carrying out of a 4 DAYS YOUTH SEMINAR promoting:
● knowledge of the web-radio experiences existing at a national level, with a special focus on how these experiences have been conceived, responding to which needs, using what type of methods;
● exchange with similar initiatives in Europe;
● share of good practices;
● build-up of a community of practice focused on the networking of the different initiatives, in order to capitalize on the existing know-how;
● “sustained dialogue” among youth and local policy makers;
● drafting of a “Chart of youth participation by the means of the WEB RADIO tool” and exchange of suggestions which could arise to put it into practive at a local level
Struttura Seminario:
4 main sections:
1. Debate and exchange of experiences;
2. Presentation of relevant case-studies;
3. Panel discussion and debate with the local AdministrationdConfronto – good practices;
4. Drafting of a WEB RADIO CHART OF INTERESTS, and suggestions for action at a local level
Seminar duration:
The Seminar will take place in Asti and will last for 4 days.
Expected Partnerships:
Ngog associations, informal groups having promoted/promoting Web radio initiatives, in Italy as well as abroad.
