It's nice seeing that somebody out of Italy cares about our political issues (well, this one actually was a major one,and still is).
Yes, the Left won somehow, by gathering around the democrats almost the whole of the left wing parties (atheist radicals,ex-Communist politicians, Greens ,antiprohibitionists etc..) , so it's actually hard to tell whether it will be a stable government or it will split up sooner or later.
I'm pretty confident it will hold,we've all had enough of Berlusconi BUT apparently almost half of Italy is of the opposite idea: Forza Italia is as a matter of fact the strongest(by number of votes) single party in Italy ,while the _real_ fascists, "Alleanza nazionale" kept more or less the same percentage.
Things aren't clear nor really relaxed, the Right (as always) has an aggressive tone and tends to de-legitimate and distort everything in its own path, taking politics out of the Parliament and "to the streets" literally,as if verbal aggression and revisionism/misinterpretations could allow governability in a modern democracy.
As always, Italy plays the part of the idiot in the European community, thanks to THE main idiot .................
