wouaip, chaleureux ce petit retour en alsace, c'était très chouette ce festival.
pour ma part j'ai adoré les soirées du jeudi - mortel set de dj.gorellaume le jeudi, et un djcabine en pleine forme
et du samedi, particulièrement le live de kaiza - avec la barrière de moniteur - la session entière blues rock, parce que ça a pas mal détendu l'atmosphère, renouvellé l'ambiance, et pantalon3D aussi très agréable.
Super les knacks au bar aussi.
bref, comme tout le monde, un peu à court de temps, dommage parce que j'ai pas réussi à parler avec tout le monde, mais c'était excellent de tous vous revoir.
bravo aux organisateurs pour leur ténacité, et au public qui a suivi.
et effectivement, maintenant, on attend plus que le festival CANNIBAL CANICHE à MARSEILLE

[] EB 1.0 est exposition collective sur le thème du bruit qui présente des œuvres d’art numérique : net art, vidéo, composition musicale, installation, dessin numérique, animation ou encore publicité ainsi qu’une œuvre contemporaine d’art graphique. En proposant d’écouter, visionner et expérimenter des œuvres, l’exposition est une véritable expérience artistique qui vise à familiariser le public aux nouvelles technologies par l’art et la culture.
L’accent est mis sur une approche expérimentale et participative de créations numériques qui proposent à la fois une réflexion sur le bruit et sur les relations qu’entretiennent le son et l’image sur un support multimédia. It's our pleasure to announce the 3rd Upgrade! International meeting "Chain Reaction" that will take place in Skopje, Macedonia from September 11th to 14th, 2008. Growing from the Upgrade! International community, this event takes the form of a city-wide digital art and networked culture festival including exhibitions, screenings, live local and streamed performances and a program of critical and active lectures and workshops exploring numerous facets in the field of digital art. Chain Reaction brings together artists, curators and art producers from more than 20 cities worldwide (Asia, Canada, Europe, North America, South America, South Africa, New Zealand)
The artistic program shows current tendencies in the use of hardware and software development for artistic means. The artists presented here are the emergent creative force on the international new media art scene.
Some of the works have been part of other exhibitions and festivals, and others have been created exclusively for this event. One of the dominant principles that have emerged in this collection of works is the blurring of the boundaries between art, cultures, technology and physical surroundings. This blurring is not about fading out; it is about illuminating and distributing new kinds of practices. It is about multiple modes of participating, navigating and deconstructing.
Chain Reaction explores issues of cultural development and growth in the local region as well as within digital networks. Exhibiting works and presentations from over 20 cities across the world, the organizers expect this event to be a catalyst for dialog, future collaborations and new cultural understanding.
The meeting theme "Chain Reaction" illustrates the network itself, the way it works and functions, correlates and interacts. The
Upgrade!International started as a creative spark that gradually grew into an international group of nodes influencing each other continually through permanent communication. The meeting gathers Upgrade! nodes into one core event in Macedonia and will hopefully cause a positive chain reaction. Upgrade! network gathers annually or bi-annually, each time in a different city for a festival by artists who participated in the Upgrade! meetings around the world.

Sinon, si nous avons sur Radio WNE des pièces sonores dans notre répertoire qui sont "Sacémisés", c'est à notre plus grand désespoir...Mais notre but premier est de pouvoir les diffuser (cette liberté à un prix) parce que cela en vaut la peine d'un point de vue purement musical, loin de tous dogmes autour de la musique 100% "libre"...
well, le pb du "libre" c'est qu'il y aura toujours un mec plus radical que toi, c'est libre mais c'est fait avec un logiciel payant, ou un logiciel cracké, ou alors c'est libre et fait avec un logiciel libre mais sous un OS payant, ou sous un OS libre mais pas éthique (je pense à ubuntu et les multiples polèmiques), etc ... à force on en oublie le contenu pour se focaliser sur des procédés, qui de toute manière ne conviennent pas à tout le monde, et qui bien souvent n'apporte pas tout le temps grand chose en terme qualitatif.
